In-Class Ballet Mock Exams
Please make a note on your calendars that we will be having in-class mock exams again this year, with a pianist, near the end of May. The TENTATIVE dates are Tuesday, May 22nd, Wednesday, May 2rd, Tuesday May 29th and Wednesday, May 30th, 2012.

Attendance lo these mock exams is mandatory as this will be the only time students will have the opportunity to work with the pianist prior to their exam. These mock exams will be held during class time. Students who will not be doing their exam in June are still expected to attend the mock exam classes. There will be some changes to the schedule to accommodate the mock exams, however there are truly minimal! A revised schedule will be distributed closer to the mock exam dates.

Additional Ballet Mock Exam(s)
Ms Heather and Miss Nicole MAY wish to have an additional mock exams, without the pianist, on a weekend prior to the exams. These mock exams will be set up just like the actual exam where the students enter with their partners and are given the same amount of time they will have in their actual exam. The only difference is they will not be working with the pianist. More information to follow in the New Year.

Tentative Ballet Exam Dates
We are REQUESTING that our ballet exams be held the week of June 7th, however, we will not know until the New Year if we will be granted those dates. We are requesting that parents keep these dates open at this time.

Ballet Terminology Sheets
Students should still have their terminology sheets from their previous exam session. Miss Nicole is working on updating the terminology sheets she prepared for the students last year. As soon as it is completed, we will have it emailed to all ballet students. In addition, Ms Heather will have available a very general terminology for students. She too will have it available to email to students in the New Year.

Ballet Notebook
Miss Nicole would like her Standard 3-5 classes to keep a ballet notebook, which should include exam word corrections, choreography etc. Students me expected to have their notebooks and have begun with their entries no later than November 28. Miss Nicole will be collecting them to review over the Christmas Break and randomly throughout the year. The notebook is meant to be a tool to help facilitate the student's learning.

BALLET SPRING EXAM WORKSHOP
Please note there will be a spring workshop for students, which is usually held in April. This workshop will be mandatory for all students doing an exam in June! All information pertaining to the workshop will be distributed once it becomes available in the New Year.
