Requirements
The following classes are the minimum required for competitive dance:
- Competitive Jazz = Ballet at least once per week.
Competitive Hip Hop = Must take a 2nd class
- Prefer Jazz class (Rec or Comp) or additional Hip Hop class (Rec) once per week.
Competitive Lyrical = Jazz (Comp) once per week.
Ballet Exam classes twice per week.
Competitive Tap = Must take a 2nd class
- Ballet or Jazz once per week.
A – Team = If you are interested you must
- write us a letter stating why you
- are interested in joining A-Team.
- Must be competitive level student
- Minimum 11 Years old when classes begin September
RAD Ballet Exams = Ballet twice per week
(Grades One to Seven) Permission of Miss Diane/Carla
RAD Ballet Exams = Ballet three times per week
(Majors) Permission of Mrs. Scherger
Pointe (Majors) = Permission of Mrs. Scherger
The dance instructor’s permission and assessment is required before enrolling in any competitive classes, so students are placed appropriately.
- Attendance is mandatory for all classes; all absences must be made up. Please see your instructor for appropriate make up classes. If you are unable to attend your class, please phone ahead to advise your instructor.
- All classes must have a parent rep assigned by October 1st 2005.
- Sign up sheet and information will be posted in September 2005.
- Parent reps are responsible for organizing costumes (as advised by instructor), bringing a tape & cd to competitions, and advising the class of competition times and information. All info will be provided by the studio and posted on the parent info boards.
- When registering you must prepay June 06 & reg fees. September to May payments will be paid through pay direct, therefore we will require a void cheque and bank form completed
- Dancers will NOT be placed in classes or spots held, until all cheques and information is received. You must pay any outstanding fees from this season before your registration for next year will be processed.
- A list of people with outstanding fees will be available at reception.
- Cash payments for monthly fees will not be accepted, unless paying the entire year fees upfront.
- Please refer to our affinity dance inc. brochure for dress code information.
- Please ensure you read affinity newsletters for important information regarding competition and activities. Newsletters will be available for pick up in your family file folders at the studio.
- Competitive students must be enrolled in at least one ballet class and at affinity, however, you may choose to take other classes elsewhere.
- Please see reception or your instructor with any questions or concerns. There is also a parent log book for notes to instructors/affinity staff at the reception desk.

- Junior/Intermediate Competitive Program $195/month
- Includes Ballet Exam classes + 3 additional classes (ie. Jazz/Tap/Hip Hop)
- Senior Competitive Program $225/month
- Includes Grades and/or Majors Ballet + 3 additional classes
- You may add any additional classes to your schedule
- For just $10 per month
- Competitive students who are not participating in the R.A.D. Ballet Exam program
