Dress Code & Etiquette – Recreational Students
Ballet
Girls – Pre Primary
Dress:
solid color body suit
pink tights
ballet wrap sweaters, skirts are allowed
Hair:
Must be pulled back
No jewelry
Girls - Primary
Dress:
Tank style black body suit
Pink tights (either convertible or full foot) Students will be required to wear the tights in their shoes.
Ballet wrap sweaters, skirts and leg warmers are allowed as long as they are black or ballet pink
Hair:
In a bun with bangs pulled back
No jewelry
Boys
Dress:
White or black body suit
Long fitted shorts (not baggy)
White or black ballet slippers
Hip Hop
Any active wear is appropriate -Hair must be up and pulled back out of the face
Dance sneakers or indoor shoes -No jeans or outside street shoes
Jazz/Tap/Lyrical/Tech
Must wear proper dance wear (jazz pants, capris, shorts, fitted shirts, tank tops, etc.)
Hair must be UP and pulled out of the face (Short hair should have a head band).
No jewelry in any class (rings, belly rings, and stud earrings are ok)
Affinity Wear will be appropriate to wear in your classesâș

NO SOCKS
Tap Footwear
Oxford style leather sole tap shoes (black) i.e. Block tap shoes
No split soles

Etiquette for all Recreational Classes
Attitude:
You should enter each class with a positive, motivated, and ready to learn attitude.
Respect for your instructor is shown when students are quiet and ready to learn in the classroom.
Absences:
Good attendance is important in recreational classes, especially coming up to the end of the year.
As the groups prepare for the Year End Recital, it is expected that all kids come to class to rehearse their routine as much as possible before they go on stage.
Please phone the studio if you are unable to attend class, to inform us of your absence.
