Where is My Class?
|
The Whiteboard in the reception area will indicate what studio your instructor will be teaching in. Please check the Whiteboard each day when you arrive as you may not always dance in the same room.

Classes
|
Regular classes run from September 8th until June 10th. We are closed for most of the major holidays including Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas Break, Easter weekend, Spring Break and the Victoria Day weekend. A schedule of events will be posted on the info boards in reception or click here to view the Calendar and Closure information online..

Reception Hours
|
- Our reception desk will be open Monday through Friday from 3:30 – 8:00 pm.
If you require any office assistance, please come in and see us or call us during these hours.

Email & Website
|
- Our main method of communicating special events and important information will be by email & our website.
- Please take the opportunity to check out our website www.affinitydance.com and don’t forget to check your email!
- If you don’t have email, there will be notices that you can pick up at reception. It is your responsibility to keep updated!

Parent Information
|
- In our parent lounge area is the “Info Board”, where we will post important information. Please note that we no longer have a parent log book. Should you have any administration concerns you may email Carolynne at carolynne@affinitydance.com

Parent Rep Volunteers Needed
|
We require parent reps for most of our scheduled dance classes for both competitive and recreational students. The role of a parent rep is to be a liaison between the parents and the instructor to help organize costuming and communicate special information to the group. For competitive groups the parent rep is also responsible for informing the group members of their competition times, extra rehearsals and music for competition. Each parent rep will receive a class list with the student names, parent names, and phone numbers. Parent rep sign up sheets will be posted on the parent board shortly. We hope to have lots of parent involvement again this year.

Affinity Wear
|
Keep your eyes open! Our exciting new Affinity Wear Clothing for all sizes is currently in design mode and will be on display later this fall!

Student of the Month
|
- At the end of each month, our teachers select one student from each class as “student of the month”.
Who is selected as student of the month? Well, a student who: * shows good work ethic * has a positive attitude * sets a good example for other students * works hard in class * has perfect attendance for that month
- Once a student has been chosen for each class all the names will be put into a draw and 1 name is chosen. This person will become “Student of the Month” and will receive a prize (please see reception for your prize)
The lists will be posted on the “Info Board” at the end of each month. Note: Lists are posted for each month except December and June.

Lost & Found Bins
|
- Any clothing or dance shoes found in the studio at the end of each day, will be placed in the silver mesh bins located in the front reception room next to the change room area. Parents & kids please check this area on a regular basis. At the end of each month these bins will be emptied and any unclaimed clothing/shoes will be donated to a local charity.

Leonard
|
- If you don’t already know, Leonard is our fridge & includes our snack bar. I’ll items can be purchased at the reception desk. You may purchase a pre-paid “Leonard Card” at reception for whatever $ amount you choose. The card will be kept at reception for your use!!!
